Mr. Goodman 3rd Grade Email: tgoodman@alpine.k12.ut.us |
Mr. Goodman was born and raised in Yorba Linda, California; 10 minutes from Disneyland. He grew up with 2 incredible parents and 5 stupendous siblings. He loved to sing on stage, dance in the kitchen (yep, dance in the kitchen . . . actually any hard surface.), play competitive sports, hang out with friends and visit the beach often. “I was there enough to be pooed on by a seagull once or twice! Yuck.” After receiving his Eagle Scout and graduating from high school he served a 2 year mission for his church to Colorado/Wyoming. Upon returning Mr. Goodman attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While studying to become a dentist his part time job as a mentor for at risk children and a counselor for EFY revealed his desire and gift to become a teacher. This was never in his life plans, ever. Another unknown, revealed interest of Mr. Goodman’s while attending BYU would be his participation in International Ballroom Dancing. Latin was his specialty. Move those hips Mr. G! While there he danced on one of the formation teams and competed with his partner in open competitions in the western states. Currently Mr. Goodman teaches 3rd grade at Saratoga Shores Elementary School and is awaiting a new religous teaching position at the Utah State Prison, of which he has been teaching for 3 years. Besides teaching 90% of his life away in public and religous education Mr. Goodman loves to write and sing music. In 2002 he was honored as one of the Top Ten New LDS Artists of 2002 and in December of 2003 produced an inspirational CD titled Inside of Me. In 2007 he was nominated by the Faith Centered Music Association as a candidate for Singer/ Songwriter of the year. He is currently working on a second project to be released in the end of 2008. |
